Gas / Oil Boiler Installation
We recommend Viessmann Vitodens Gas Boilers and Grant Vortex Oil Boilers to all our clients because after over a decade of installing, services and repairs gas and oil boilers we have come to believe that Viessmann and Grant Boilers are the best, most reliable and efficient boilers. And, as importantly, they also have the best technical support in the Irish market. However if you have already decided on another manufacturer we would be happy to install the boiler of your choice.
We will advise on the grants that are available and how to qualify for those grants. Phoenix Plumbing and Heating (PPH) are a SEAI and Electric Ireland Grant Approved Installer.

Upgrade to Viessman 4-Pipe System with Outside Weather Compensation Stat
The Viessman 4-pipe system allows for the hot water to your taps to be at the recommended 55°C, and the hot water to your radiators to be at a lower, or higher, temperature – depending on how cold the weather is and what inside temperature you want. The outside weather compensation stat is a small temperature sensor we discreetly fix on the outside of the building, on a north facing wall, and wire to the internal controls of the boiler. With this weather compensation stat in place, when the temperature changes outside the boiler responds instantly and increases or decreases the radiator temperature to compensate. Keeping the inside temperature at a constant level instead of waiting for a room thermostat to react to your house having gotten too cold or too warm.
The diagram shown here gives an idea of the typical relationship between external temperature and boiler flow to radiators, e.g. water to radiators at 35°C when the outside temperature is 20°C, and water to radiators at 65°C when the outside temperature drops to 0°C. -

Heating System Machine Power Flush
Over time grime, sludge and limescale builds-up in central heating systems, from radiators back-up through pipes and valves to heat exchangers and boilers. This can result in heating system not running as efficiently as they used to, and cold spots on radiators. If this has happened to your heating system then you need to call us. Leaving untreated will result in your heating bills increasing, and can result in permanent damage to boilers and the heating system.
Our Heating System Machine Power Flush service is the most effective way to cleans your entire heating system. And you have the peace of mind of knowing our tools, training and expertise ensures we will get your system back performing to its best with the least amount of disruption to you and your home.
Any new gas or oil boiler installation to an existing system requires a power flush of the heating system to comply with manufactures warranty for the boiler. And it is best practice as it ensures your system is running efficiently.PPH use the Kamco Clearflow Power Flushing Pump with CombiMag power flushing filter.

Installation / Replacement of Zone Valves
Zone Valves divide your heating system into zones. Typical installation is Zone 1 Ground Floor, Zone 2 First Floor and Zone 3 Hot Water System. A very good reason to have Zone Valves is they give you the option of having hot water to the taps but all the radiators off, which is a lot cheaper and quicker than having an electrical immersion running.

Installation / Replacement of Radiators
We supply and fit Quinn Radiators (QRL Radiator Group) hi-lo radiators, recognised as among the most efficient and reliable panel radiators available. All hi-lo radiators have a greater number of convection fins and water channels, giving more efficient heat transfer and requiring less water to heat. For you this means your home gets warmer, faster. And your heating system uses less energy. We can also supply and fit a radiator from a manufacturer of your choice.
